Why Support Your Local United Way?
Everyday people in our communities' struggle with issues that may seem impossible to solve. Limited access to health services, difficulty making ends meet, and unsure of where to turn. That's where your local United Way comes in to provide hope.
The Lake Martin Area United Way fights for the health, education and financial stability of every person in every community across Coosa and Tallapoosa counites. But we don't do it alone - we bring people and organizations together to do more than any one of us can do on our own. Employers, other nonprofits, governments, faith organizations, community leaders, and many others partner with us to care for our neighbors in need.
The Lake Martin Area United Way supports 26 partner agencies that provide programs and services in the areas of health, education, financial stability and basic needs. Together, these partners, with financial support from our United Way, are able to touch over 29,000 lives annually across our 2 counties.
Donations made to our United Way are tax-deductible with 99 cents of every dollar staying local and invested in local programs and initiatives to improve lives and deliver results here at home. Every dollar, no matter the amount, makes a difference! When many give, whether it's $1 or $100 or $1,000, it all adds up and makes a remarkable difference in our communities.
Campaign 2024 - Give Where You Live - is ongoing and we are working hard to reach our goal of $515,000! Thank you to every business, individual, workplace campaign and others who has already pledged or donated. It's not too late to give for this year and help us change lives in wonderful and amazing ways!
