Advancing the Common Good

The Lake Martin Area United Way advances the common good by creating opportunities for a better life for all. Our focus is on education, income, health and safety net services - the building blocks for a good quality of life. Lake Martin Area United Way recruits people and organizations who bring the passion, expertise, and resources needed to get things done. The 27 Lake Martin Area United Way Agencies serve the residents of Tallapoosa and Coosa Counties.

GIVE: The workplace campaign is the easiest and most powerful way to invest in your community. We need for EVERYONE to give including businesses, individuals, and organizations. By giving you are helping out 27 Agencies literally help thousands in our community. All your money stays here in Tallapoosa and Coosa Counties.

ADVOCATE: Lend your voice to champion the cause. Lake Martin Area United Way needs people who are passionate about education, income, health, and safety net services to make some noise. Let us educate you on what our 27 Agencies do so you can tell someone else.

VOLUNTEER: Lake Martin Area United Way and its 27 Agencies need you. Volunteer opportunities for youth, adults, and seniors abound. Click on the Volunteer button to learn more and sign up to volunteer today!

In addition to our 27 Agencies, the Lake Martin Area United Way also has several Community Initiatives that we support, including the 2-1-1 Statewide Referrals for Human Services, Children's Summer Reading Program, Day of Action, EFSP (Emergency Food & Shelter Program), and the Home Depot Veteran's Home Repair Program. In response to the COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic, we have also set up a Community Crisis Fund to help nonprofit agencies/organziations provide direct assistance to individuals in our area that have been directly affected by this virus.
