TAllapoosa county sheriff's girls ranch
The Tallapoosa Co. Girl's Ranch suffered a devastating loss on Saturday, June 19, 2021. One of their vehicles was involved in a multi-car accident in Greenville, Alabama that took eight young lives. The children ranged in age from 4 to 17 and were girls at the ranch, a staff member's 2 children and 2 relatives.
The Girls Ranch is an agency of the Lake Martin Area United Way and a dear member of our United Way family. Our United Way has started a DESIGNATED fund, meaning 100% of all money donated will go directly to the ranch to help with funeral related expenses, medical costs for the injured and counseling for the others and any other needs the ranch may have as a result of this devastating event.
